چکیده
از نظر اغلب اقتصاددانان، تجارت بین‌الملل دارای نقش با اهمیتی در توسعه ی انسانی است. تجارت از طریق مستقیم و غیرمستقیم بر توسعه ی انسانی تأثیر‌گذار است. بررسی نظریات توسعه نشانگر رابطه ی مثبت میان تجارت خارجی و توسعه ی اقتصادی است. بر اساس برخی از نظریات علی رغم اثر مثبت تجارت بر توسعه، این عامل دارای تأثیر منفی بر فرهنگ بومی و اقتدار ملی به خصوص در کشورهای در حال توسعه بوده است. در این تحقیق اثر رشد تجارت بر توسعه با استفاده از رشد شاخص توسعه ی انسانی برای کشورهای منتخب آسیایی بررسی شده است. بدین منظور، از الگوی داده‌های تابلویی و روش GMM سیستمی برای بررسی رابطه بین رشد تجارت و رشد شاخص توسعه ی انسانی استفاده شده است. نمونه مورد مطالعه شامل 16 کشور منتخب طی دوره ی 2009- 1975 بوده است. بر اساس برخی از نتایج، رشد تجارت بر ارتقای شاخص توسعه انسانی و در نتیجه رفاه اجتماعی تأثیر مثبت و معنادار داشته است.

The role of international trade on human development is important for economists. Some studies emphasize that there is a positive link between trade and economic development, while others believe that trade has a negative impact on national sovereignty and indigenous culture of countries. In this paper, we attempt to address this argument by examining the impact of international trade on countries’ social developments as measured by the Human Development Index. We have utilized a System Generalized Method of Moments procedure in a panel data framework, using the data for the 16 countries in the period of 1975- 2009. The results showed that increases in trade are positively associated with increases in the human development, which eventually leads to the social welfare of the society.
