Abstract
The importance of the distribution of resources and facilities in social justice, poverty reduction, regional economy has caused the appropriate distribution of income to be one of the most important concerns of policymakers and economic researchers. But considering that one-dimensional indicators of income inequality (cost) consider only one dimension of well-being and the well-being of a person depends on many factors such as income, housing, health, etc., using one-dimensional indicators may lead to misleading results. provide a measure of inequality in a given population or between different groups of people. The main purpose of this article is to investigate the trend of multidimensional inequality for the nine commodity groups of food, clothing and footwear, housing, health, services and furniture, recreation and entertainment, transportation and communication, education and others in the household consumption basket in Bushehr province compared to the whole country. Is. For this purpose, the multidimensional Gini coefficient was calculated by using the micro-data of household expenditure (income) in Bushehr province and the whole country separately for urban and rural areas for the period of 1984-2021 and then to compare the multidimensional inequality of Bushehr province in urban and rural areas with the whole In the country, 3 models of single-factor analysis of variance with regression have been used. The results of the multidimensional Gini coefficient analysis show that the average inequality in Bushehr province is higher than the whole country. Also, the results of the variance analysis model show that the average inequality in the rural and urban areas of Bushehr province is higher than the average inequality in the rural and urban areas of the whole country.
