چکیده

   در سال‌های اخیر حمایت از حقوق مالکیت فکری اهمیت بیشتری یافته است.  حقوق مالکیت فکری را می‌توان حقوق قانونی ناشی از فعالیت‌های فکری در زمینه‌های صنعتی، علمی، ادبی و هنری دانست.  امروزه بسیاری از کشورها در جستجوی اطلاعات عملی برای چگونگی استفاده از مالکیت فکری برای ارتقای رشد اقتصادی هستند.  این تحقیق به بررسی ابعاد تأثیر مالکیت فکری در ارتقای رشد اقتصادی، از منظر مخارج تحقیق، توسعه و تعداد محققان می­ پردازد.  این تحقیق با استفاده از روش داده‌های ترکیبی(پانل) تأثیر حمایت از تأمین حقوق مالکیت فکری بر رشد اقتصادی را به دو صورت مستقیم و غیر مستقیم بررسی می ­کند.  نمونه ­ی مورد بررسی شامل 35 کشور در دوره ­ی زمانی 2005- 1985 است.  نتایج تحقیق نشان داد که حمایت از تأمین حقوق مالکیت فکری به‌ طور مستقیم تأثیر مثبتی بر رشد اقتصادی دارد.  همچنین حمایت از تأمین حقوق مالکیت فکری به ‌طور غیر مستقیم (از طریق R&D و تعداد محققان) تأثیر مثبت و معنی ­داری بر رشد اقتصادی دارد.

The Effects of Intellectual Property Rights Protection on Economic Growth

چکیده [English]

In recent years, protection of intellectual property rights has become more significant. Intellectual property rights can be regarded as the legal rights derived from intellectual activities in industrial, scientific, literature and art fields. Today, most countries seek to find workable models to apply intellectual property for their economic growth improvement. Current study show the effects of intellectual property protection on economic growth through research and development (R&D) expenditures and the number of researchers. Panel data method is used to estimate this effect directly and indirectly for a sample of 35 countries from 1985 to 2005. Research findings showed the protection of intellectual property rights have a positive effect on economic growth directly, and R&D & researchers via intellectual property rights have a positive and significant effect on economic growth indirectly.
